Owen Frager the Nagger: Part 1
Owen Frager is so full of shit… Lets dissect one of his latest posts full of BS:
“From Epik’s stakeholder conference call on Friday, it was clear that customers are engaged, supportive, patient and thinking bigger– keeping in mind the road map for what these domains can become and for Epik’s ability to unlock possibilities that were never possible before.”
Uhh, right. Dude! You are smoking crack if you believe that anything good will ever happen while on the “platform” of Epik… DevHub failed… Epik failed. It’s been what, two or three years? Time to move on… Simple as that.
To say that Epik is over because a very small portion of their 10s of thousands of sites online ran into a technical glitch — quite possibly a GOOGLE glitch — that could possibly be resolved in a matter of days, is like saying WordPress is over because a number of their sites had similar issues.
Firstly, Epik does not have “10s of thousands of sites” they only have maybe 15,000 tops. Learn how to do a reverse ip/dns check. Secondly, what Epik was doing was 100% against Google’s TOS and these shitty sites will never rank for good. Link-farms are really old news. They never ever even had a chance… Stupid beginner’s luck. AHH!
Like WordPress, Epik is a development platform and a true technology company that invents and delivers software solutions as a service. This cuts the time and cost it might otherwise take to get to the same result. You can access a whole new revenue stream without traditionally prohibitive costs or development. And generate value and traffic in ways you can’t do on your own.
One of the worst development platforms I have seen. It does not work. What more is there to be said? LOL. You couldn’t even pay me enough $$$ to bring any one of my domains to it.
The bottom line is that customers will only remain customers if they get a great product, great service and measured returns.
We will all be dead by the time that happens. Once again, the platform has failed time and time over and over again.. It does not work. Never had the chance. Numbers speak for themselves. Go look them up. It’s simple math.
Mike, I know Epik is a pain in your butt. You’ve taken weeks to roll out a carefully crafted smear campaign not only consisting of posts on your blog, but also through comments you leave on your own blog and others under multiple personas trying to prove consensus for your story and to introduce an invented string of unhappy customers to support it. Some how my name comes up in these posts, and you have been baiting me with innuendos even spreading lies about my relationship with Epik of which you have no direct knowledge.
You flatter yourself too much… Take it easy there! I can assure you that I have better things to do than to post about you… Your name doesn’t even come up in my head when I am taking a dump. Everybody who posts about you is just random people with their own opinions. People who I don’t even know. If you want to see the server access log and wordpress comments of this blog so you can do a deep analysis and comparison on IP’s and verify that they are indeed real users and not me… Just ask. To imply that I post under different “personas” is really really low and stupid, but that is to be expected from a character such as Owen Frager the Nagger.
You see Mike, smart people see through this stuff. You appear desperate and weak. One has to wonder what the competition has in their pipeline that has you so terrified. It only makes them look more attractive. So rather than be angry, be better. Stop writing about the other guy and get to the drawing board to come up with a better mousetrap. Actions speak louder than words.
Desperate and weak people such as yourself do nothing but lie and hype things up. I put out there the truth, backed by facts. What have you put out there? I rest my case.
And finally, you have been ranting and warning about this cross-linking business even, with certainty, declaring it a reason for the glitch some customers are now experiencing. Let’s be honest, the only one who truly knows the root cause of the issue is Google and until they make a public statement that supports your theory, it is just that a theory, not fact.
You are talking out of your ass once again. You don’t know anything about SEO or any of the rules and guidelines that people live and die by when dealing with Google. You shouldn’t be running your mouth about stuff that you are not familiar with… PERIOD.
You imply that there has been some gaming of the system. But in actuality it’s been a totally white hat approach for good reason. Mr. Monster himself is one of Epik’s largest customers relying on the platform to create returns on a multi 8-figure portfolio of names, names that are still being acquired on a daily basis. There’s no way he would allow any mischief that would dilute the value of Epik’s own portfolio nor risk the well-being of those who chose to develop on the Epik platform.
I am glad that you believe all this non-sense, but it is all wishful thinking and you, Rob Monster and Epik are going to self-destruct as they say in the SEO inner circles because you have no idea WTF you are doing. Nobody does it looks like. As for the “multi 8 figure portfolio of names” that Rob Monster owns/controls according to you.. That is once again not true. Rob Monster owns one of the shittiest domain collections assembled that I have seen in the past few years.
Visit google.com and site:domaintools.com “epik llc”
Many of these are double hyphenated worthless garbage and people’s first/last name .info’s which they thought they could mass develop… Here we are like one or two years later and there is nothing to show for…. Whatever, to each his own. You keep your love affair going. I said what needed to be said already. Epik failed and it is hopeless. PERIOD.
Now, I spent no more than 2 minutes on my previous post because I really do have better shit to do than to go back and forth about this old news, but hey… I’ll make time when need be. No problemo! Somebody has to set the record straight and expose the not so pleasant TRUTH and call out the loud-mouth-wanna-be-know-it-all’s.

Love it!
There is so much B.S. and over-bloated claims in the domaining community and Owen and Epik are perfect examples.
Good homework on your end and something we can all learn from. Keep uncovering the truth!

Know nothing about Epik. Agree on the hyping though: Too much hyping in the industry. Schwartz & Frager are some of the worst.

Owen Frager is really a nobody, an old sorry-ass man with too much time on his hands.. Why does anything he write matter? Who even pays attention anymore? What are some of his accomplishments? What are some of his real clients?
EXACTLY.

I admit i know nothing of what is happening with Epik, but Owen Fragers blog is totally irrelevant, he posts old articles from his buddy Rick from over 10 years ago, does anyone actually read his blog anymore?
I am glad someone has finally said it out loud, nice post.

Fager is wrong here. They may come back, but soon or later Google will catch them for good. They are against the Google TOS, not to mention that dropped names can have their own ‘history’ of G penalties

Give us backgrounder of your dispute with Fager, what is it about?

I have to say that in my opinion, the domain industry comes across as one bog ‘boys-clubs’… The conferences are packed full of old men who think they are gods gift to the universe but in fact are a bunch of nagging old men that lie and deceive…
Take a look at flowers.mobi… Do you really think this one cost $200k a few years ago or was it some sort of a rebate deal?
Epik has thousands of sites delisted and people are still supporting Epik? To these supporters, how many valueable domains has epik fucked over in search-engine rankings? The problem with this google ban is that it’s permanent, and so your once-great domains have been devalued.
Let me tell you this people who have been shafted by Epik, it is time to take legal action against this company for causing your domains to lose value… At minimum, you should be looking to get paid the weekly income your Epik site was generating until the glitch sorts itself out…
On another note, did I hear that Epik was ‘talking to Google’ about their development? The question for Epik is: Who exactly where you talking to and what was their position in the company? It sounds like Epik was talking but nobody was listening, or could Google have heard what Rob was saying and decided that it all sounded like a reason to ban his company… Think about it for a minute, Rob emails Google stating that he has created a great platform for domain-owners to have their sites automatically filled with CPC advertisments, none of which were using Adwords… Now, Epik, how the hell do you think a competitor will react to this when they are not making a dime out of it?
Best wishes,
Holly

Owen claims “OWEN IS THE MARKETING GURU, HYPE IS NECESSARY FOR THE MARKETING”
Owen, can you please stop the Bullshit, sorry ass old man. Hype is not necessary for good products, good products speaks for themselves. You are wrong, your marketing skills annoys people, and you are sorry ass man.
You do not know nothing about seo, I hope you know what SEO stands for? Owen, is such a crap, and hype creator and disillusionize people and newbies who can lose money.
Cut it already and relax, and go to learn SEO 101. Also, stop being a Sidekick of Rob Monster. Be Real, Come out of your clown character, you little puppet!

Hey Mike,
Owen thinks I’m you because I called him out on DNW and he thinks it is impossible more than one person disagrees with him.
BTW, if you want to see what he knows about SEO – follow the banners on his site and see what brilliant work he does for his clients SEO-wise. Title tags? Who needs ‘em!

Never heard of this Owen Frager, but now reading some of his a paranoid blog posts – I would be very cautious about using the services of companies that feel he is an appropriate marketer for them. Is Epik one of them? any others?

I Do not know who Owen is, neither do I know who Mike is.
All I know that the level of language used here is tragic…, what is more tragic is to think that this level could ever be believed by anyone to be “Strategic” or “productive” in any way and to any party.
As an average observer, all I get from all this is that someone named “DomainStryker” carries a grudge against a company named “EPIK” for some reason I don’t know, and I do not really care to know at such level;
Otherwise, there are millions of way to communicate a criticism that rises to the level of
what communication means.
This is no longer communication…
Let me tell you something as an EPIK client, you’ve lost me…
You’ve just made me like EPIK more, and if I ever need a help from someone to show me the way out of EPIK, I will not seek it from blogs that employ this level of language. I’ll do my mathematics and calculations, consult experts…
Don’t need a rooster to wake me up.

Owen Frager has ZERO credibility and his blog offers ZERO value – definately the WORST blog I’ve read. The dude is essentially USELESS. He should rename his blog to The Fodder Factor.

What’s the difference between Epik and Sitedepot? Don’t they do the same kind of thing?

I have to say I agree that Owen Frager is annoying and his blog titles and posts are mostly re-hash and keyword rich to try to get people to click to his blog. He seems to think he is important by the headers on his site, but like others have asked here what has he really done but name-dropping of big domainers and copying their old posts?

Rob could use his Epik Bucks and try to pay Google to have all websites listed again!
