Every so often, a product/service pops up that is very simple but also quite genius. RootOrange.com basically leases domains on behalf of domain owners to small businesses or anybody else that wants to lease it in a certain geographic area. Right now it goes by metro areas but they are working on making it possible to lease according to zip codes. In their own words:

So they are basically geo-splitting the traffic and directing it to whoever buys that targeted area first. Domain owners can really make a ton of money once this thing catches on.  Personally I got really excited when I first learned about the Root Orange service… It has amazing potential.

It is going to take at least a year maybe even two for RootOrange.com to get a decent inventory of domains and then actually be able to sign-up lots of clients, but rest assured, this is a winner concept and it is going to be huge. I am behind it 100% and all for it… You should be too

I believe the first very first and early adapters of this new service will be internet marketers. I’ve discussed the Root Orange concept with a couple of hardcore affiliate marketer friends of mine and they are really excited and can’t wait to use the service, once there are some premium keyword domains are available for leasing.
